Another SCGA Team Play season begins in January 2009. Members from the Monarch Dunes Men's Club will begin competing in matches against teams from other local SCGA member courses. These courses include La Purisima Golf Course, Marshallia Ranch Golf Course, and Glen Annie Golf Club.

The regular season consists of 6 weekly home and away matches scheduled in January and February. Playoffs take place in March, followed by Championships in April.

For each match, the Monarch Dunes travel team will be made up of 16 golfers plus 2 alternates, including a team captain. A team of 2 players plays the opposing team of 2 players in a four-ball match (better-ball of partners) and each partner will play one individual match.
