2008 League Information

2008 Rules

1. All teams must have approved 6 man minimum rosters by March 1, 2008.

2. Approved rosters must have valid SCGA, NCGA or USGA numbers.

3. All roster players must be Monarch Dunes Royal Rewards Men's Club members.

4. Out of town substitutes must have valid SCGA, NCGA or USGA number or they play to a Zero handicap.

5. A player from an existing team may not sub for another team. He may however compete outside the team for weekly skins competition.

6. A roster player must have 4 regular season matches to be eligible for playoffs. Only certified roster members are eligible for playoffs. No Subs!

7. All match lineups are to be called or e-mailed into the pro shop 24 hours in advance.

8. Member's 12-month low-index will be used to establish all handicaps for matches, skins, and playoffs.

9. There must be at least two roster members on a team to be eligible for weekly points. Subs may be drawn from the floating sub pool or be the guest of member (see #4).

10. New for the 2008 season, 1/2 points for handicaps will be used.

11. Club Pro has the option to designate Gold or White tees for weekly play.

12. Club Pro has option to mix level of players (e.g. A vs A coupled with D vs D). The goal being to improve club camaraderie.

13. Closest to the pin will have a cash prize each week. Money is awarded from club dues.

14. All members are required to post every round for accurate index and handicapping. Club committee will audit on a frequent basis.

Team Scoring and Payouts

A total of 9 points are available for each team match. Each individual match is worth 2 points - 1 point for match play and 1 point for stroke. The team with the lowest combined net total is awarded and additional point.

If a team is missing a player, the team automatically forfeits 2 points for the individual match as well as the 1 point for the combined net total.

There will be payouts for the regular season and for the playoff tournament. The overall champion is decided by the tournament winner. Payouts will also be made to every team based on season ending point totals.

The league will consist of 14 teams.

About the League

The Nipomo Men's League consists of 14 teams who play 9-hole metal and match play tournaments on Tuesday nights at Monarch Dunes Golf Course.

Season Schedule

2008 season runs from March 11th to September 16th followed by single-elimination playoffs from September 23rd to October 14th.
